Watari Naoto and his sister Suzu try to live a normal life. His destructive childhood friend Satsuki returns.

The plants in the garden are beginning to sprout. But so are the small lies that everybody employs.

After overcoming multiple obstacles, Ishihara finally confesses her feelings to Naoto. What is his response?

Ishihara and Naoto go on a date at the zoo, albeit with Suzu in tow.

At a part-time job interview, Naoto meets Umezawa Makina, a junior from middle school and the ace of the track and field club. When Makina finds out that Naoto doesn't have a smartphone, she forcefully takes him to buy one, but once he gets the phone, the first person he calls is Murasaki. Makina, who went on to join the track and field club at a prestigious girls' high school in Tokyo, has actually fallen into a slump and has been skipping club activities. Seeing that Naoto seems happy, unlike her, Makina plots to make him break up with her and become her toy to kill time...

Makina, who is showing off to her club members by saying she is going to the fireworks festival with her boyfriend, asks Naoto to play the role of her boyfriend. Naoto recommends Tokui for the role and makes an arrangement to meet Murasaki, who is going with some local friends, on the way. On the day of the fireworks festival, Naoto and Murasaki sneak out of the festival midway and head home as it starts to rain. Soon, the downpour begins to pour, and the two seek shelter at Naoto's house, where they find Satsuki, who has come to take care of her vegetable garden out of concern for it. Everyone is soaked, and the three of them end up staying at the house for the night, but...
