Homer (Ancient Greek: Ὅμηρος [hómɛːros], Hómēros) is the name ascribed by the Ancient Greeks to the semi-legendary author of the two epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey, the central works of Greek literature When he lived is controversial.
