Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (pronounced /ˈdɒdsən/, DOD-sən); 27 January 1832 – 14 January 1898), better known by the pseudonym Lewis Carroll (/ˈkærəl/, KA-rəl), was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and photographer.
