Biography

Shijin Govind is an Indian visual artist and filmmaker whose work blends crafted visual poetry with nuanced, human-centred storytelling. He holds an M.Des in Film & Video Communication from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and works independently as a filmmaker, Creative Director, and Cinematographer. Drawing from native folk traditions, Indian cultural memory, and personal childhood experiences, his films explore the intimate relationship between people, landscape, and identity. With a distinctly sensitive visual style, Shijin creates cinema that is both evocative in form and emotionally resonant in spirit.
