Biography

Haneef Shareef (حنیف شریف) is a Balochi writer, film director, photographer and medical doctor from Turbat in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. He began his creative career as a short story writer in the 1990s. In 2003, he received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Bolan Medical College in Quetta. He was a member of the Balochistan Students' Organisation (BSO), and wrote articles and poetry on the social conditions of the people in Balochistan.
