Biography

Humberto G. Garcia was born in 1955 and raised in the San Felipe section of the City of Del Rio, Texas. He spent many years as a migrant farm worker before graduating from high school in 1972. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his BA in Government in 1975 at the age of 19 years. Following a year of working for the Tandy Corporation in Austin, he began his legal training at the University of Texas School of Law where he received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1978.
