Biography

Emma Nicholson is a volcanologist whose research focuses on developing innovative technologies for studying volcanoes and their role in shaping the planet. Nicholson is driven by a fascination to learn more about the processes happening deep beneath our feet that drive volcanic eruptions, as well as how these events impact neighboring communities and how to reduce societal and environmental risks.
