Birth name Eriberto Lopez, nicknamed Bert by his 3rd grade teacher. Born in Laredo TX but raised all his life in San Antonio, TX. middle child of a family of 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Started acting in High School and acted in short films directed and produced by him while in High school. At the of 18 while working in a furniture store he met Ruben Rodriguez which shared the same dream as him and it was not till they were both in their 30's that they made their first film and entered it in the 48 hour Film Festival.
