Biography

Chauncy Cruz is a filmmaker/storyteller based in Taytay, Rizal, Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Filmmaking from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde with his thesis film "Sa Mga Matang Bata," which received several recognitions, including the 3rd Prize at the 35th Gawad Alternativo in 2023. He has also written and directed an experimental film titled "Ang Ipinagbabawal na Prutas ng Paraiso," which earned several recognitions from the Taytay Film Festival, the first film festival in his hometown.
