Samo Hussein is a Sudanese film director and producer recognized as a prominent voice in contemporary Sudanese cinema. He first garnered attention with his documentary SAPA, showcasing a profound ability to craft powerful, socially engaged narratives. Hussein co-produced The Dam, which premiered at the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, and served as Line Producer on the critically acclaimed Goodbye Julia, winner of the Freedom Prize at Un Certain Regard.
