Biography

Ahmed Khalil Ali is an award-winning Egyptian filmmaker and screenwriter. Born in 1999 in Alexandria, he graduated from the High Cinema Institute in Alexandria as part of its first graduating class (2019-2023). Ahmed has gained recognition for his work in independent cinema, earning multiple awards for his directing. His short documentary A Very Abnoxious Thing won the Jury Award at the 7th Manssat Film Festival, received a special mention at the Femto Art International Student Film Festival, and was screened at the Seattle Arab Film Festival and on the Aflamuna platform in collaboration with Beirut DC.
