Riders In The Sky is a Grammy award-winning American cowboy band formed in Nashville, Tennessee on November 11, 1977. The group was originally a trio (composed of guitarist "Ranger Doug" Green, bassist Fred "Too Slim" LaBour, and fiddle-player "Woody Paul" Chrisman) for their first decade, adding famed accordionist Joey Miskulin to their line-up in 1988. The group has recorded for MCA, Columbia, Sony, Walt Disney Records, Warner Western, and were one of the early break-out stars from the Rounder Records label in the late 1970s.
