Biography

Dimitris Papadopoulos in his studies dealt with pedagogy, social exclusion, film education/education and media education/literacy. He holds a PhD from the Film Department of Aristotle University. In his thesis he investigated the modern developments in film education. It proposes the connection of film theory, cultural studies and critical pedagogy as the basis of a theoretical model of film education. He teaches issues of Film Education/Education at the Department of Cinema of AUTH as well as issues of the relationship between Culture, Art and Education at the Department of Creative Media and Industries of the University of Thessaly.
