Biography

During her childhood, Cris Solano Mata began to connect with the ghosts in her room. It was in her adolescence that she embarked on a quest to capture her poetic view of life through the lens of a camera. This was how she started to explore the world of cinematic storytelling, which became a space for her to explore her own spirituality. In 2020, Cris completed her Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television at Veritas University and premiered the short film “Todas las Lunas” (2020), which was awarded “Best Costa Rican Short Film” at the Lúdico Latinamerican ShortFilmFestival.
