Biography

Mykyta Kuzmenko is a Ukrainian cinematographer, born, raised, and educated in Kyiv, Ukraine. He earned a master’s degree from the Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University. Kuzmenko then continued his education at the Andrzej Wajda Film School through the Gaude Polonia scholarship. In 2013, together with Ukrainian director Ostap Kostyk and cinematographer Olexandr Pozdnyakov, he began filming the documentary Living Fire, which won the Special Jury Award at the Hot Docs Film Festival (Toronto, Canada) and the Best Cinematography Award at the Golden Dzyga Ukrainian National Film Awards.
