Biography

Sofia Leão is a Brazilian photographer and filmmaker. She holds a degree in Social Communication and has been working in cinema since 2019, primarily in the camera department of short films. In 2024, she made her directorial debut with the experimental short Película (co-directed with Brenda Barbosa), which was selected for prominent Brazilian film festivals such as the São Paulo International Short Film Festival (Kinoforum), Mostra de Tiradentes and CineOP (Ouro Preto).
