Biography

Steven Gillon is a composer of Portuguese-American descent, born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. Discovered the piano at the age of seventeen and started to work on his own compositions in the same year. In 2016, Steven embarked on a journey to deepen his musical knowledge as a self-taught musician. During this period, he explored composition and was greatly inspired by influential composers like Federico Mompou, Alexander Scriabin, Arvo Pärt, and Jóhann Jóhannsson whose works have continued to shape his musical style ever since.
