Biography
Alexander Yandy Laurens (born April 9, 1989) is a Indonesian film director, screenwriter, and producer. Born and raised in Makassar, Laurens studied film at the Jakarta Arts Institute (Institut Kesenian Jakarta). His graduation short film, Wan An, won Best Short Film at the 2012 Indonesian Film Festival. Following this achievement, he went on to direct numerous commercials, music videos, and web series. In 2017, Laurens was announced as the director of a film adaptation of the 1996 television series Keluarga Cemara.
