Biography

Cécile Embleton is a self-shooting documentary director based in the UK. Her first feature-length documentary, Mother Vera, won the Grierson Award for Best Documentary at London Film Festival 2024 and first prize at Festival Dei Popoli in Italy in 2024. The production is supported by Sundance, won first prize at Locarno First Look 2023 and the First Look Prize at the HotDocs Forum 2021.
