Biography

Born in Sofia, Vera Nemirova has been living in Germany since 1982 and made her debut at Oper Frankfurt in 2006/07 with this production of Tannhäuser. She returned to direct our wonderful new Ring (2010 - 2012) which has been captured on CD and DVD (OehmsClassics). She recently directed Otello at the 2013 George Enescu Festival in Bucharest and Lohengrin at Theater Basel. She graduated from the »Hanns Eisler« Hochschule für Music in Berlin and began her international career in 1998.
