Biography

Chris Welcker CAS is an American production sound mixer. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Welcker initially pursued jazz performance and studied music before shifting his focus toward audio for visual media. After working in commercial scoring, he transitioned into production sound for film and television, advancing through roles such as utility sound technician and boom operator under the mentorship of Oscar‑winning sound professionals, including Kirk Francis.
