Biography

Marta Vaarik (born September 27, 1986) is an Estonian artist. Marta Vaarik is an interdisciplinary artist who uses painting, video and performance to depict personal stories and bold gestures that challenge cultural norms, breaking traditional narratives. With a high social sensitivity, Vaarik researches issues related to minority rights and works with young people with mental health problems and at-risk behaviors dealing with reintegration.
