Efthymis Filippou, an exceptionally captivating Greek writer, playwright, and screenwriter, was born on January 18, 1977, in Acharnes, Athens. Initially a journalist and copywriter, he was not involved in filmmaking until his compatriot Yorgos Lanthimos invited him to write scripts, teaching him the craft, for which Filippou is grateful.
