As a child, filmmaker Michael Andres started in the arts through dance--a protege of jazz legend Gus Giordano. As a teen, he took 1st-place at U.C. Berkeley for his Dramatic Interpretation of the play "Andersonville Trials." He also took 4th-place in California and 15th in the nation for his interpretation of the play "Equus." At UCLA, he studied British Literature, where he became fluent in French and Italian and graduated cum laude at age 21.
