Sándor Simó

Biography

Sándor Simó was a prominent Hungarian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 1957 with a degree in chemical engineering and later pursued film directing at the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest, graduating in 1964. Simó's directorial works include Those Who Wear Glasses (1969), which won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival, and My Father's Happy Years (1977), entered into the 28th Berlin International Film Festival.
