Biography

Bunmi Adaeze Mojekwu (born 10 February 1989) is an English actress. She is known for her role as Mercy Olubunmi in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (2010–2011). Mojekwu was born in Brixton, South London, to Nigerian parents. She is the eldest of four children. In 2006, her family moved to Strood, Kent, while Mojekwu attended St Simon Stock Catholic School in Maidstone. She had a small role in a school production of The Wizard of Oz. Also in 2006, Mojekwu joined Identity Drama School in Kent and won the school's Actress of the Year award.
