A multiple award-winning producer, writer and director for film, television and theatre, Teong Hin co-wrote and directed, "Puteri Gunung Ledang"; the first Malaysian film invited to the Venice International Film Festival, and submitted for Academy Awards. Given his wide-ranging interests, he went from historical epic to romantic comedy, musical, sports and political films as well as the first Penang Hokkien feature film, "You Mean The World To Me".
