Biography

Wanjiru is a Director/Writer/Producer of Kenyan Descent based in Los Angeles. Growing up with influences from many American films and TV shows , Wanjiru spent her childhood in Kenya recreating scenes from E.T, Superman, Indiana Jones and Star Wars with her siblings and neighbors earning her the nickname “Magic”.  Wanjiru’s film credits include several films, her most personal, “Look Again” nominated for a 2012 African Movie Academy Award, Winner- Best Diaspora Film- Kalasha Awards(Kenya) and television credits on “Samantha Who”, ‘Super temps” and “Mostly Evil” among others.  She directed the red carpet interviews for Women In Film’s 5th Annua...Read More
