Overview

In the aftermath of World War I, the French were seized by an extraordinary enthusiasm, wanting a world focused on joie de vivre, social progress, and celebration. This dream had a name: Paris. The French capital embodied the Roaring Twenties and its cultural influence was felt around the world. People came from every continent. Hemingway, Gershwin, Man Ray, Henry Miller, Fitzgerald, Josephine Baker, Maurice Chevalier... many contributed to the myth of the City of Light.
