This event was a part of UFC International Fight Week. The event was headlined by a UFC Women's Strawweight Championship bout between current champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk and top contender Cláudia Gadelha. The pair previously met at UFC on Fox: dos Santos vs. Miocic in December 2014, with Jędrzejczyk winning via split decision.
