Rei dos índios holds a party where a bed of thorns is prepared for the Surrupiras and indigenous entities to lie down on. On top of Pai Wagner, for 49 years he, Pena Branca, Taquariana, Surrupirinha, Tupam, Índia Guerreira and many others have maintained a ritual that is almost forgotten in the Terreiros de Tambor de Mina do Maranhão.
